Thank you everyone for welcoming me here! waiting for more news on WEC and maybe Rallycross, at this point... do you think Jacques is keeping the Rallycross event as an option should the WEC seat not manifest orrr...? Sounds like a cool event though, with electric cars

Yes, thank you Abf1! I hope he manages to get a seat in WEC, though the ByKolles project looking promising, it's still a bit foggish, don't ypu think? Until they get the ok by the FIA I'll always fear it's gonna be another Wingnut project (but hopefully it won't be the case this time). Also the fact that their hypotetical car has already two nominal drivers and they should present a second one to guarantee JV the seat... I don't know what to think. Fingers crossed I guess!

L'Endurance, avec la nouvelle voiture LMDh (Le Mans Daytona Hybride) et l'arrivée de nombreux constructeurs, c'est le moment idéal pour trouver un volant pour Jacques.
On pourrait le revoir à Daytona et au Mans.

Ce genre de course, où l'on partage la voiture avec d'autres pilotes, est idéal pour un pilote de 50 ans, et tout juste 51 ans.
C'est exigeant, mais un pilote conduit 2 ou 3 heures, puis prend une pause et revient quelques heures plus tard pour un autre 2 ou 3 heures.

Parlant Endurance.
Grosjean est devenu, hier, pilote officiel pour Lamborghini en Endurance.
Il sera au 24H de Daytona et au 24H du Mans.

Il reste chez Andretti en Indycar pour 2023 et fera l'Endurance en parallèle en GT3.
La nouvelle Lamborghini LMDh devrait rouler en 2024.

Et si Jacques venait le rejoindre...

Il va faire Le Mans puisqu'il est pilote 3. De ce que je comprends il ne fera pas les courses courtes où seuls les pilotes 1 et 2 courent.

Annoncé ce mardi 10 janvier par Ferrari, Antonio Giovinazzi s’installera dans la 499P n°51 aux côtés d’Alessandro Pier Guidi et James Calado. La n°50 sera emmenée par Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina et Nicklas Nielsen. La liste des engagés révèle également le nom officiel de l’écurie du Cheval cabré qui se nommera Ferrari AF Corse. Le Français Romain Dumas est confirmé chez Glickenhaus.

La principale interrogation reposait sur les présences ou non de Vanwall Racing et Isotta Fraschini. Le constructeur italien n’a pas passé l’étape du Comité de Sélection, au contraire du constructeur autrichien inscrit sous l’appellation Floyd Vanwall Racing Team.

Trois pilotes sont déjà confirmés pour piloter la Vanwall Vanderwell 680 : Tom Dillmann, Esteban Guerrieri et surtout Jacques Villeneuve ! Le champion du monde de Formule 1 1997 fera ainsi son retour aux 24 Heures du Mans pour la première fois depuis 2008 (2e avec Peugeot).

(Juste un peu déçu du line-up Ferrari, j'espérais KIMI)

yeahhh the second I read Vanwall in the list I knew it!!! Was also kinda sure he wanted to try out for LeMans, mostly (rather than the whole WEC series, since he's never really seemed that interested in Endurance in general, to be honest), it's something he's been missing out to do since his fall out with Toyota in 2008ish, right? Triple crown hopefully? We'll see how the car fares. Also pretty excited for Ferrari Hypercar entry (and bit surprised for Giovinazzi but happy for him Very Happy

Je connais le pilote Français, Dillman pour l'avoir vu en Formule E. Si je me souviens, il a bien fait.
Mais rien de Guerrieri.

Contre Penske, Cadillac, Toyota, Peugeot, etc... c'est très bien, mais je me demande si l'écurie de Jacques pourra se mettre au niveau des ces grandes équipes.

I hope he'll do more than just LeMans 24h! It's not known how much he will race since he's registered as driver nr.3, but hopefully it's gonna be a few races! (Same goes with Giovinazzi who is also registered as driver n.3).

Right Peugeot! Fallout was his second year, when they rolled in second and JV wasn't quite happy with the result (understandably...). I think they had engine problem when they were about to finish the race and basically they told JV to lift foot off pedal so they came in second instead of first. Shame because they were a big team back then in WEC!

Les chances sont minces, mais on ne sait jamais.

JvTea, if I remember correctly, everything was going well for Jacques and his Peugeot, but it started to rain during the night and that's when the Peugeot had difficulties.
